Performing Artist-Spoken Word
Heather is a tea-drinking, female-loving, ex-evangelical pastor turned spoken word artist, activist and educator. Heather recognizes that throughout history differences have divided, isolated and disrupted our connection with each other. In her work she prioritizes resourcing communities with tools for rebuilding, reimagining and reconciling those differences.
Heather is excited to co-create vibrant, inclusive community spaces where the faces, stories and needs of those who are Queer, Black, and Indigenous (BIPOC), along with allies who are committed to the work, are centred and celebrated. In her talks, you will encounter themes that speak to the variety of intersections that she lives out of every day.
